Annual Assembly 2020

FundAction Annual Assembly 2020
Taking part online during two (separate!) days on October 22 and 24

Save the dates and if you are a member, register here. Deadline for registrations – October 15.

On this unusual, uncertain, and unpredictable 2020, FundAction’s Annual Assembly moves online.

The decision was supported by a deliberative process in which the members expressed their inclination to meet online due to the restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic which we experienced this year.

Today is probably more important than ever to meet with colleagues and members of the platform and to continue building a strong alliance of activists across Europe that are transforming traditional grantmaking into the participatory distribution of funds.

Of course, shifting to online has its handicaps: no meals together, no late nights conspiring with each other, no in-person celebration of goals we achieved.

However, meeting online will give us the opportunity to invite more members to participate in the Annual Assembly.

Furthermore, now that we are all more focused in our own local affairs and contexts, Online Assembly will also represent a magnificent chance to get closer with colleagues around Europe and beyond, We’re designing a meaningful and powerful online program that welcomes all the relevant topics, from FundAction’s Community Guidelines to the fields of work of the members.

Join, contribute, and help us nourish the FundAction platform. We’re all part of it!

Program Day 1

Thursday, October 22 – Meeting only in the afternoon and evening!

Today we will focus on giving an account of how FundAction is doing today. Latest updates about participatory grant rounds, facilitation group renewal, and how the platform is coping during these sharp and edgy times. How could we envision the future of FundAction as an activist tool?

Program Day 2

Saturday, October 24 – Full-day program!

Time for breakout thematic meetings regarding the processes on each area of the platform (fundraising, community building, process design and grantmaking, storytelling…) as well as on topics that the members are invited to put forward.

Participants will be asked to contribute and nourish the conversation about participatory grantmaking as well as on the activist fields they are committed to.

Join and take part in the collective harvesting of meaningful ideas!
Let’s keep shaping the future of participatory grantmaking together!
